Mexico

beyond the beaten path

Almost anywhere you go in Mexico you'll encounter breathtaking landscapes, beautiful valleys, and unique natural formations. The size of the country means that dozens of different types of ecosystems and climates await curious adventurers, from the coppery-green hues of the canyons in Chihuahua to the shimmering greens and blues of the cenotes in Quintana Roo. Home to 10–12% of the entire world’s biodiversity, Mexico offers an unparalleled array of unique Nature experiences and wildlife encounters. Throughout the year, the country is a favorite destination for some of the most spectacular migrations on the planet, from that of sea turtles (six out of seven species of which come here every year to lay their eggs) to that of whales along the Pacific coast, or of monarch butterflies, which reach the center of Mexico in the hundreds of millions every year, between October and March. Surfing, rock climbing, white-water rafting, diving (how about with whale sharks??) are just some of the sports that make Mexico an unmatched destination for adrenaline junkies... but the once-in-a-lifetime magic is guaranteed for everyone, from honeymooners to foodies to lovers of ancient culture and archaeology.
